Is it safe?

Radiation-crosslinked hydrogels (RCHs) are absolutely safe.

The term “radiation cross-linked” in the name emphasizes the method of obtaining the material, as it uses electron beam technology. Electrons with an energy of 4 MeV are used to form additional bonds (cross-links) between polymer molecules. This electron energy is sufficient to destroy microorganisms, but not sufficient to induce nuclear transmutations. Therefore, any induced radioactivity is out of the question during the radiation crosslinking process.

Polymers and solvents that are biocompatible with the human body are selected for the composition of RCHs. Therefore, applying a RCHs dressing to an open wound or burned skin area does not cause irritation.
